The use of the MCOCEAN M100 Bluetooth speaker starts with a premium unboxing experience. The box is very solid and features glossy pictures and product information. Once the lid is removed you will find the speaker nested in a perfectly sculpted foam insert with a small box below containing the included charger and aux cable.
The speaker has a scalloped design and is made of hard plastic with a metal grill on the front. Inside the metal grill is a blue LED that reacts to music volume. On the back you will find controls for volume and power. as well as a charging port and aux port. The speaker feels well made and has a classy appearance that should fit in with most modern decors. The built in 1500mAh battery provides about four hours of wireless music playback and only takes a little over two hours to charge from dead.
The speakers houses two 52mm full range drivers with a total of 4W of power. The speakers provide adequate volume for a medium sized room or small group of people. The sound quality from the speaker is about average among other Bluetooth speakers in this price range. The bass is a little on the weak side which is mostly a result of physics. The highs are clear but sometimes harsh while the mids are very controlled. Most people that listen to rock or pop music will enjoy this sound while classical and hip hop listeners may prefer more bass and more controlled highs. Of course sound is a personal preference and in general this speaker sounds good.
Overall this is a nice speaker although I wish it had slightly stronger bass and a larger battery. If you can live with these minor cons I would recommend at least considering the MCOCEAN M100 Bluetooth Speaker.
