The IPOW Dash Mat is a unique approach to a vehicle cell phone mount. Once the supports are attached to the mat, you simple place it on your dash, set your phone on it, and you are good to go. I was very skeptical about how well this design would work because the phone supports as well as the mat are made of silicon and are flimsy, Once the mat is assembled it is more rigid.
Once I placed the mat on my dash and inserted my Nexus 6 into the phone brackets, I was still skeptical as it seemed to move about within the brackets very easily. After using it for a few days I am surprised at how well it actually holds the phone. It does shake going over bumps, but my phone never came out of the stand. The mat also never slid across my dash. This style car mount is better than many other designs because you can easily “mount” and “dismount” your device with one hand and without worrying about attaching a magnet or metal strip to your phone like many other mounts.
Overall I am shocked at how well the IPOW Dash Mat does its job. The ease of use, one year warranty, and the non permanent install makes this mat easy to recommend.
