The Vivid Lighting bulbs came enclosed in a molded plastic insert inside of a double walled cardboard box.  The packaging is top notch and all the pertinent information is printed on the outside of the box.  I immediately installed the bulbs in a fixture along side of one of my Cree 60w equivalent bulbs to compare them.

Below, from left to right the bulbs are all 60w equivalent and are as follows: Vivid Lighting 5000K equiv., Cree 3000K, Vivid Lighting 2700K.

As you can see in the images, the Vivid Lighting bulbs are slightly smaller and more sleek than the Cree bulb.  They also seem to output slightly more light and most importantly create a more consistent light pattern.  I have tried numerous LED bulbs in my hunt for the best and these are by far the best bang for the buck I have seen to date.  I do not currently have one to test, but from memory these bulbs output a similar light pattern to the Phillips Hue bulbs, which of course are quite a bit more expensive.

Overall I am extremely happy with the Vivid lighting LED bulbs.  They came well packaged, are brighter than most 60w equivalent bulbs, and output a nice consistant light pattern.  If you are interested in purchasing these bulbs the 5000K bulbs can be found here, and the 2700K bulbs here.
