The Anker PowerLine cables are Anker’s most premium offerings. The cable I tested is the 10ft, Lightning model in red. It arrived in a simple, professional looking box with minimal logos and product information on the outside. Upon opening the box, you are greeted with an absolutely stunning red, nylon braided cable. Also in side the box is Anler’s usual Happy?/Not Happy? card which I love, and two velcro cable ties.
The cable itself is heavily braided in nylon yet remains fairly flexible with just enough cable memory to be convenient. The ends are molded plastic that extends down the cable to provide a nice amount of strain relief. Each end has a metal insert with the Anker logo on it.
In use, the cable had no problem charging my iPhone 6s Plus at its full charging speed, and being 10ft long proved to be very convenient while sitting on the couch and charging the phone while in use. With its over the top construction, I have no doubt this cable will take much more abuse than the average cable.
In summery, Anker has hit another home run. The cable is built extremely well, looks amazing, performs well, provides a great unboxing experience, and includes cable ties. What more could you ask for from a cable?
