The Microphones & More Android-Max Lapel came packaged in a colorful, yet simple box. Inside you can find the lapel, two windscreens, two cable clips, an iPhone adapter, and a velvet carry bag.

Max_Lapel_2All of the accessories are well made and similar quality to lapels that cost much more. the cable on the lapel is roughly four feet long and should make it easy to route to your pocket, belt clip, etc. The metal cable clips should have no problem handling some abuse and did a great job of holding the cable in place. When recording the lapel acted like any other directional microphone in that it picks up noises better when they are directed towards it. This behavior is perfect for a lapel microphone as you do not want it to pick up ambient noise. The mic did surprisingly well recording my voice, especially given its very reasonable price. Throughout my testing I did find that it struggled to pick up some low frequency noises, but when being used for voice this should not be an issue.

The Microphones & More Android-Max Lapel is a great microphone at an even better price. If you are in the market for one I highly recommend taking a look at it.
